Prof. dr. Max Louwerse is professor of Cognitive Psychology and Artificial Intelligence at Tilburg University and Professor by Special Appointment at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. He finished his PhD in the United Kingdom, worked for 14 years in the United States and founded or co-founded several research initiatives. He published over 170 academic papers in cognitive science, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and computational linguistics and psycholinguistics, holds two patents, and has acquired over 20 million euros of external funding on research projects often in collaboration with corporate partners.
